| RSS is an easy way of being
kept informed of the updates of many websites at the same time. You
can get the latest headlines and articles (or even audio files, photographs
or video) in one place, as soon as they are published, without having
to remember to visit each site every day. Not all websites currently
provide RSS, but it is growing rapidly in popularity.
In order to read the RSS feeds, you need a news
reader. This reader can be web-based (can be checked from any computer)
or desktop-based, free of charge or paying. An example of a web-based
news reader is Bloglines.
A very decent and free desktop-based news reader is Feedreader.
Others are available on the internet.
Once you have an news reader, you can subscribe
to RSS feeds of websites by supplying the location (URL) of the
RSS feed to the reader. The Eco-Serve RSS feed can
