On the 15th of April 2005 Cluster 3 organised a Workshop in Madrid on the subject of the environmental impact of the production of Aggregates and Concrete. Following article contains a participant list, links to presentations given during the workshop and reports on the discussions.

This file contains some more information concerning this cluster: a more detailed background, the scope of work, the milestones and criteria, important related papers and some usefull links.

There are 6 milestones in Cluster 3, M1 (Establishment of network members), M2 (Workshop) and M3 (Baseline report) have been completed. At this moment we're working on M4 (BAT-report).

M4 will present the optimisation of aggregate production according to specified end-use requirements as well as production of concrete with reduced environmental impact. It will include decisions on what research still needs to be done after the ECO-SERVE activities. We will discuss the content of the report with the members within the cluster when we have something tentative to present.
